The new work by Sally Beamish to be performed by the Elias Quartet on November 7th as part of the SOUND festival will be her 3rd string quartet, called “Reed Stanzas”. It was given its first performance very recently by the Elias at a Proms Chamber Concert in London.
The meaning of the title will become clear at the concert!
