We have been delighted with the standard of entries to our first ever competition and also pleased to see the remit tackled in a variety of styles. Our hope was to attract not only students of music approaching it from a technical viewpoint but also students of say English who may lend a more generalist view giving a feel for the event and the atmosphere as well as the music and the performers.
We certainly believed that this came across in the entries and we hope that all who entered gained some enjoyment out of the concerts and preparing their reviews.
After a hard round of judging the entries for our first ever competition, we are happy to announce the results.
First prize goes to Adriana Draghici and we have two second prizewinners in Morag Forbes and Sandy Wooley.
