The Aberdeen Chamber Music Club was founded in 1930. Except for a few years during the Second World War, it has presented concerts ever since. We had our seventieth season in 2004-2005. In June 2009, just prior to the seventy-fifth season, we adopted the name Aberdeen Chamber Music Concerts. The objective of ACMC is to foster the appreciation and study of chamber music by the promotion of an annual series of six concerts from ensembles of the highest quality, of Scottish, national and international standing. We aim to provide a stimulating mix of different types of ensemble, with programmes including both the core chamber music repertoire and less well-known and contemporary pieces.
